Elem entry finance committee member Michael Shaoul and Nirit Weiss welcome you to their their East Village duplex apartment . Originally two 3-bedroom apartments have been combined to form a unique family home with a hand built mahogany staircase joining the two spaces.
The
apartment also has its own private rooftop with unobstructed views
across both midtown and downtown and there is an extensive collection of
contemporary art on the walls, mostly consisting of figurative
paintings by young local artists.
The
dinner in the Shaoul-Weiss residence will be a Georgian style, cooked
by Sophia Goodman and Milena Kozhin – both ElemEntry activists
originated from Georgia.
The musical interlude will be played by David Blasher, who for the past 24 years has played the cello in settings that include Tanglewood orchestras, intimate chamber music soirées, and hospice houses. A graduate of Yale's theater department, he is currently an attorney, while moonlighting as a theater teacher to some of New York's youth and poor communities. David is happy to share his cello in support of human rights efforts, global citizenship, and world harmony.
* This dinner is a kosher dinner made by kosher ingredients in a kosher kitchen.
